Rob Russo is a foremost expert on local cable TV. As the Sales VP/Director of Marketing & Sales at Katz TV, Rob oversees strategic marketing for Katz, including broadcast and Internet alliances.
Rob started his career in 1983 as a research analyst with the TV rep firm SelTel. He continued in the rep world as an account executive and sales manager with both SelTel and Blair Television.
In 1989 Rob moved into the cable industry as Director of Sales for Cablevision's soirts channel His next stop was Director of Sales and Marketing for Westinhouse television's group W Sports. Both these positions dealt with local, regional, and national sales, as well as the development of local cable networks and sports team multimedia sales.
In 1996, Rob returned to broadcast with SelTel, then Millenniun, and finally with Katz Television Group in his current position.
Rob has also worked on the agency side as a buyer, planner, and account executive, and is currently a Professor of Advertising at St. John's University, a position he held at both BYU and UCLA.
